While preparing to present on the title "Evolution of Technologies", I came across some very interesting quotes, and one of them was "The two most common elements in universe are Hydrogen and stupidity" - author unknown. Why this quote caught my attention? probably at the dry honesty of this statement.
Technology evolution has taken place at different pace during different periods - it is significantly accelerated during later period. Also, in parallel was human population, which has grown at a very rapid place during recent times. World population in 1800 was 1 billion; in 1960 it became 3 billion; 1999 it rose to 6 billion; in 2011 it became 7 billion. The projection is that in 2050 it will be 9.5 billion - extremely rapid growth.
